We really enjoy our 'front yard' on Elliott Bay for evening walks. The sunsets aren't always this nice, but it always makes for a wonderful stroll.
We visited NYC in February. The Unfortunates at Joe's Pub was the excuse, but we saw shows, friends and really enjoyed our time there.
The Unfortunates began its life at OSF in Ashland and we're supporters of the work in many ways. The financial contribution came from Bill's parents' estate -- they would be pleased that they are still making an impact in the Arts.

We visited McMinnville for an HP reunion with Bill's former coworkers and really enjoyed catching up with our good friends, both old and new.
Bill spent much of the year working on a new product. He's still working on it along with consulting (call him for all of your wireless/medical needs).
Wilbur continues to rule our clowder. All three cats make the trip with us back and forth between Ashland and Seattle and also call both places home.
Back in Seattle, the brothers Harry and Tank share some quality together time; sometimes more together than either would like.
Tank tries to join Rae on a business trip. Rae worked for Celladon until their dissapointing clinical results led her back to the consulting world where she and Bill now spend most of their working hours.
We took a drive from Ashland to Crater Lake in the spring; an amazingly beautiful place any time. The minimal snowpack was highly unusual for that time of year and ultimately led to a challenging smoke/fire season for all of the northwest.
Another evening walk on Elliott Bay. The Seattle Art Museum's sculpture garden is a wonderful feature of the walk and we love the change of seasons in Echo's face as she looks over the bay to the Olympic Mountains.

Sharing our wine with friends is one of the best things we do. Having good friends who let us join them on wonderful adventures is even better. We joined the Tongs, Harry and Joe on a trip from the San Juan Islands through to Ketchikan.

Introducing our wines to new people is a great deal of fun. Rae and Bill sold wine at a booth at the Queen Anne Farmer's Market monthly throughout the summer.
We enjoy it when ever friends and family come to visit. We toured Leslie and her husband through the sites; here she shows off Snoqualmie Falls.
In August, our favorite event is the Daedalus HIV/AIDS fundraiser in Ashland. Our feet get ready for the 5K walk/run.
Bill and his photo partner continue to work on the Empty Stages project. This year marked the completion of a two-year commission from the Alley Theater in Houston. Bill lost a bet with nephew Malcolm. The bet was over who would wear the opposing team's tie at his sister's Bat Mitzvah. The Seahawks lost, but there was nothing in the bet about the shirt. Malcolm calls a 'foul'...
We were proud to witness our niece Miranda's Bat Mitzvah in Milwaukee. She did a beautiful job and we loved getting together for the joyous event.

We always dress up for the Halloween production. Pericles offers one of Shakespeare's best stage directions: "Enter Pirates", and we obliged. Barzin Akhavan was one of the pirates on stage, but offstage, well... It was Halloween.
Seattle Center was decorated for the holidays, including a topper for the Space Needle.
The Marx Brother's show The Cocoanuts travelled from Ashland to the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, featuring several of our crazy actor friends. We travelled with Groucho Bear for the show, properly attired for the Minneapolis winter weather.
