Seattle 12th Man pride for our Super Bowl Champion Seahawks!
Grizzly Peak out the window at our Condo in Ashland, OR. We were in Ashland several times this year. We are fortunate enough to be able to work from either Ashland or Seattle given phone, internet and airport.
We traveled to NYC for the opening of All The Way, which premiered at OSF in Ashland and made it to Broadway and won Two Tony awards.
The Mariners had a much better season; we enjoyed an early spring game with Felix at the mound.
A chilly view from Kerry Park. Our lower Queen Anne condo building can just be seen at the lower right (if you know where to look).
We made frequent walks along Elliott Bay a few blocks away from us. It is our preferred walk to/from the Pike Street market on weekends. This is a view of North Seattle.
Our winery won several accolades, including Gold and Double Gold in the Northwest Invitational wine judging.
Bottling of the next vintage is an all-hands weekend marathon event. We bottle about 750 cases per year.
Bill (with help from Rae) sold wine at the Queen Anne Farmers Market during the summer.
We had a wonderful week on our friends' boat in the Inside Passage, spending most of the week in the Broughton Island group.
Relaxing on the dock after dinner at the wonderful Nimmo Bay resort with our friends the Tongs.
The remodel was completed at the end of last year, but the rest of the furnishings and finishing touches were added throughout the year. This is the (hopefully) final product. We're thrilled with the results!
Bill's brother Peter and his family visited us in Seattle and then on to Ashland.
Peter, Aaron and Bill at Crater Lake.
Nephew Aaron has his stage debut with the Marx Brothers!
The guys do their best Marx imitation off the stage at our place in Ashland.
The fires burned in Oregon and California this summer as a result of the 3 year drought and lightning. This was a pyrocumulus cloud that resulted from a particularly scary fire.
The Butzi/Saltzstein (Butzstein?) entries in the annual OSF Daedalus 5K run/walk.
After a day trip to Bainbridge Island, we came back to the Ferry terminal on a beautiful night.
Our niece Jenna got married in Grand Rapids in September. Miranda, Ruby and Sandy pose with Rae.
Jenna was a gorgeous bride with her handsome new husband Jake. Welcome to the family!
Ruby can't wait to get her hands on the family trademark nose and glasses modeled by her father Geoff.
We mourn the passing of Bill's mother Judy this fall. She was an amazing woman in so many ways.
It was a wonderful year for grapes; 2/5 of the Cinq man the crusher/stemmer.
Bill had a photo session at our favorite Noble Coffee in Ashland, resulting in this award winner from the Oregon Coffee Board contest.
We took a weekend hike along McCloud river in the shadow of Mt Shasta. Pictured here are Shasta and Shastina.
We had Thanksgiving with wonderful friends in Ashland. This was our gift while cooking our contribution to the amazing dinner.
Rae had a working trip to Washington DC, and Bill tagged along. We had a Christmas tour at the White House and Congress, and had a great time visiting our nation's capital.
The East Room at the White House featured two of the beautifully decorated trees that were in all of the rooms that we were allowed to tour.
The year started and ended with All The Way. Both of Schenkkan's plays on the LBJ presidency are playing in repertory in Seattle. Here Rae and LBJ share a joke about Nixon.
Wilbur continues to preside over our feline family. He and his younger cousins join us in our travels back and forth to Ashland.
Harry (l) and Tank (r) demonstrate the yin-yang power nap.
Our year ended with a wonderful dinner with friends at our place and a walk to the upper deck to watch the Space Needle prepare for space travel. Rae and I wish you all the best for 2015!
